Education Consultant – Learning to Earning (L2E)

About the role

The Education Consultant will support UNICEF Mozambique’s Learning to Earning (L2E) team to strengthen and operationalise the MAZA digital platform, which provides upskilling, coaching and pathway guidance for youth. The role combines strategic platform consolidation with field‑based rollout and partnership development across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate MAZA as the core Learning‑to‑Earning platform, ensuring content organisation and user‑journey optimisation.
• Lead the blended rollout of L2E through a MAZA‑based approach in selected contexts.
• Develop and strengthen accreditation processes, partnerships with government, private sector and NGOs, and systems needed for scaling.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Communications, Development Studies or related social sciences.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in education, youth programming, skills development or school‑to‑work transition initiatives.
• Proven experience designing or supporting learning‑to‑earning, youth employment or vocational pathways, preferably in low‑ and middle‑income settings.
• Experience with digital or blended learning platforms, dashboards and data‑driven youth solutions.
• Strong analytical, writing and facilitation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
