Field Operations Assistant (Inventory & Facility Management)

About the role

BURN is looking for a Field Operations Assistant to support inventory, stock control, after‑sales service and facility operations at its stockist point in Mozambique. The role ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely stock issuance, compliance with procedures and contributes to BURN’s mission of delivering clean cooking solutions across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage safe and timely flow of inventory in the last mile, following BURN’s operating procedures.
• Oversee stock storage processes, including tagging, labelling and daily reporting to the warehouse supervisor.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records, minimise losses and ensure recovery of lost stock.
• Receive and organise incoming products according to BURN’s procedures.
• Scan IDC’s through Nexus, Buisy or Kobo, record issuances and returns, and run planned stock takes and cycle counts.
• Assume full responsibility for the stockist point facility, ensuring safety, security and up‑to‑date licences and local government taxes.
• Handle after‑sales returns, communicate resolution timelines, track swap IDC’s and troubleshoot defaulted products.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of stock and inventory management experience.
• At least 1 year of supply‑chain management experience.
• Understanding of FIFO/LILO standards.
• Grade 12 education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; preferably female candidates are encouraged to apply.
