Field Services Specialist Intern – Emerging Talent (Mozambique)

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as a Field Services Specialist Intern, part of the Emerging Talent program in Mozambique. This internship offers hands‑on experience in oilfield equipment servicing, mechanical maintenance, and automation systems while working alongside global business leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Complete internal projects delivering customer outcomes and identifying business improvements.
• Learn and use internal software to support project tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and fellow interns.
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards in all activities.
• Gain practical experience in oilfield equipment servicing, automation, PLC programming, network troubleshooting, and hydraulic systems.
• Develop professional skills in customer interaction and technical reporting.

Required profile

• Graduated within the last 2 years with a bachelor’s or master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Network, IT or Software Engineering.
• GPA ≥ 3.0/5.0 (or equivalent).
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Legally able to work in Mozambique without sponsorship.
• Proactive, innovative and creative mindset.

Required skills

• Understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics and industrial machinery.
• Automation systems and PLC programming.
• Networking and network troubleshooting.
• Industrial software tools and programming environments (advantage).
• MS Office proficiency.
• Design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks (advantage).
