Finance Officer (Full-time)

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the Finance Department of Aga Khan Academy Maputo in delivering high‑quality financial services. This full‑time position is based on the campus in Matola, Mozambique and contributes to the Academy’s mission of educational excellence. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial policies and supporting the Academy’s financial sustainability while collaborating with other departments to provide timely financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Collect school fees and manage incoming payments.
• Process outgoing payments to suppliers and service providers.
• Handle taxation matters in accordance with local regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, reporting and audit preparation.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in finance, accounting or related field.
• Experience in fee collection, payments processing, or school finance preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
