Flight Dispatcher / Customs & Shipping Supervisor

About the role

The Flight Dispatcher / Customs & Shipping Supervisor coordinates flight operations and oversees customs clearance and shipping activities to ensure the safe, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of personnel, equipment, and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch chartered and scheduled flights for personnel and cargo.
• Prepare flight plans, permits, crew documentation and obtain operational clearances.
• Liaise with airlines, aviation authorities, ground handling agents and airport officials.
• Supervise import and export customs clearance for equipment, materials and spares.
• Prepare and review shipping documents such as AWB, BL, packing lists, invoices and certificates.
• Manage logistics for air, sea and land transportation of project cargo.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers and shipping agents.
• Support emergency, medevac and urgent cargo movements.
• Ensure cost control, safety and regulatory compliance across dispatch and shipping operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Aviation Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑8 years experience in flight dispatch and logistics coordination.
• 8‑12+ years experience supervising customs clearance and shipping operations.
• Experience supporting oil & gas, offshore or remote site operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping documentation and aviation procedures.
