Food & Cash Officer (Intern)

About the role

The Food & Cash Officer internship supports the delivery of food and non‑food items (NFIs) to vulnerable communities. Working under World Vision’s humanitarian programmes, the intern will help ensure that distributions are well‑planned, gender‑sensitive, and accurately reported.

Key responsibilities

• Account for all food and NFIs received by World Vision at community sites and Field Distribution Points.
• Mobilise communities for food distributions according to approved plans and coordinate with technical teams.
• Prepare distribution plans and detailed beneficiary lists for each distribution event.
• Monitor distribution activities in the district, ensuring compliance with handling, storage, and safety guidelines.
• Produce timely reports on commodity reception, handling, and distribution for internal use and external stakeholders, including government agencies.
• Maintain an effective reporting system to deliver accurate commodity data to World Vision and partners.
• Integrate gender equality, social inclusion, protection, and disaster risk reduction considerations into all distribution activities.

Required profile

• Local applicant with eligibility to work in the host country.
• Basic understanding of humanitarian food distribution processes.
• Ability to work in field settings and engage with community members.
• Familiarity with gender equality and inclusion principles in programme implementation.
