Front Office Manager

About the role

The Front Office Manager leads the front desk team at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort, ensuring seamless guest experiences and operational excellence. This role combines strategic planning, staff development, and day‑to‑day supervision of front office activities.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the preparation of the hotel’s strategic and marketing plans and manage the Front Office budget.
• Design, deliver and monitor training programmes for all front office staff, covering IT systems and guest‑service procedures.
• Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and driving upselling and promotional initiatives.
• Monitor VIP arrivals, coordinate with housekeeping, room service and guest relations to fulfil special requests.
• Maintain high quality standards through regular room and floor inspections and follow‑up on engineering or housekeeping actions.
• Foster a motivational work environment, providing coaching, counseling and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, orientation and employee relations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front office or guest services management within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage budgets, drive revenue and uphold service standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of property management and call‑centre computer systems.
