Funded EU Delegation Internship – Political, Press & Information

About the role

The European Union Delegation in Mozambique offers two six‑month, fully funded internships within its Political, Press and Information Section. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in diplomatic reporting, media relations, and public diplomacy while supporting the EU’s strategic objectives in Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse Mozambique’s political, economic and social developments, drafting reports and briefing notes.
• Assist in preparing partnership dialogues, sector meetings and coordinating with EU Member States.
• Support media outreach, draft press content and contribute to EU visibility campaigns.
• Manage the Delegation’s website and social‑media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube).
• Maintain contacts with government bodies, civil society, academia and international organisations.
• Provide administrative support such as organising meetings, taking minutes and handling information requests.

Required profile

• University degree (completed within the last year) in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Communication or a related field.
• Strong interest in international affairs, diplomacy and public communication.
