General Services for Industrial Laboratory

About the role

The General Services assistant will support the industrial laboratory in Maputo by keeping the workspace clean, preparing samples and assisting technicians with daily tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all laboratory equipment and work areas on a regular basis.
• Prepare and handle samples for testing across various divisions such as soils, asphalt, seals, concrete and aggregate.
• Carry out quality and safety inspections as required and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Support technicians by following work‑related instructions and keeping the site free of consumables after use.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education or proven laboratory experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in similar general labour or laboratory support roles.
• Physically able to lift, move and handle samples as needed.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Sample collection and preparation.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
