Hospitality Trainer

About the role

The Hospitality Trainer will develop, deliver and coordinate training programmes for &Beyond Benguerra Island lodge staff and trainees, combining classroom instruction with on‑the‑job coaching to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the &Beyond Academy curriculum through classroom sessions, practical demonstrations and on‑the‑job coaching.
• Conduct training across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, hospitality standards and professional communication.
• Monitor trainee progress, provide feedback, assess competency and ensure certification.
• Work closely with lodge managers to integrate operational expertise into training content.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers and learner portfolios.
• Identify staff development needs and recommend appropriate training interventions.

Required profile

• Relevant hospitality qualification.
• 3‑5 years experience in hospitality operations, including Front Office/Guest Services and Housekeeping.
• Previous experience in training, coaching or staff development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Portuguese.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training administration tools.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and presentation abilities.
