Hydrogeological Assessment Consultancy – Manica Province

About the role
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is seeking qualified consultants to conduct a hydrogeological assessment in the districts of Chimoio, Manica and Gondola, Manica Province, Mozambique. The aim is to improve understanding of groundwater resources to support sustainable water management.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and analyse hydrogeological data across the three districts.
- Map groundwater occurrence, recharge zones and potential extraction points.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for the MozWateR programme.
- Coordinate with local authorities and IUCN field teams.
Required profile
- Relevant academic background in hydrogeology, environmental science or related field.
- Proven experience in groundwater assessment projects, preferably in Southern Africa.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality technical documentation.
