IT Information Security Systems Supervisor

About the role

The Information and Security Systems Supervisor is responsible for protecting the organisation's information assets, IT infrastructure and physical facilities. Reporting to the Systems & Network Manager, the role ensures a robust cybersecurity posture and effective physical security system management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security policies, standards and procedures aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
• Oversee daily security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response, including coordination of investigations and remediation.
• Manage security tools such as firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS and identity‑access management systems.
• Supervise operation, maintenance and integration of CCTV, access‑control, alarm and fire‑detection systems with IT infrastructure.
• Conduct risk assessments, monitor mitigation actions and support business continuity and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Provide technical guidance to network and systems teams, ensuring secure architecture and configuration.
• Lead security awareness initiatives and training for employees and contractors.

Required profile

• Honor degree in information security, computer science, information systems, electronics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT security, systems administration, network security or security systems management.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and high ethical standards.

Required skills

• Firewalls, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, identity and access management (IAM) systems.
• CCTV, access‑control, alarm and fire‑detection technologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and regulatory compliance.
