Local Onshore Site Supervisor - Mozambique

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Local Onshore Site Supervisor to lead daily site operations and pre‑commissioning activities for a long‑term subsea project in North Mozambique. The role is based in Afungi and reports to the Local Base Manager in Pemba.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise daily site operations and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Control site resources including labour, equipment and materials to ensure efficient execution.
• Ensure all work complies with HSEQ company standards.
• Liaise with clients, other contractors and regulatory authorities on site matters.
• Monitor progress, report on activities and flag risks or deviations to management.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example across all site activities.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a similar site supervision role within the O&G or subsea sector.
• Proven track record managing subcontractors and site teams in complex projects.
• Experience working in Africa or Mozambique is a strong plus.
• Background with major EPCI contractors is valued.
• Valid medical certificate for onshore operations in Africa (OGUK required).
• Fluent English; Portuguese appreciated, French a plus.
