Program Manager – Mozambique

About the role

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is seeking a Program Manager based in Maputo to lead the operationalisation of IFC2030 at the country level. Reporting to the Division Director for Southern Africa, the role will oversee all IFC activities in Mozambique, driving growth through new investment and advisory opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously refine IFC’s multi‑year country strategy for Mozambique.
• Build and manage high‑level relationships with government, private sector, regulators, development partners and civil society.
• Coordinate joint initiatives with World Bank Group institutions, multilateral and bilateral partners.
• Oversee the investment and advisory portfolio, ensuring rigorous project selection, structuring, supervision and impact measurement.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of investment, advisory and support staff, fostering collaboration across IFC units.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale development programmes or investment portfolios in emerging markets.
• Strong ability to engage senior stakeholders in government and the private sector.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
