Project Associate (WASH) – Xai-Xai

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Project Associate to support the implementation of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) activities in Xai‑Xai, Mozambique. Working under the Program Manager and Project Officer, the Associate will help ensure that interventions are delivered in a participatory manner and coordinated with local authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of WASH project activities.
• Collect, compile, analyse and present data on WASH needs.
• Serve as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with internal units and external partners.
• Support preparation of procurement documents, including requisitions, calls for tenders and technical evaluations.
• Draft status reports, correspondence and briefing notes, highlighting delivery shortfalls and proposing corrective actions.
• Maintain project files, organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Monitor field activities such as cash‑for‑work, implementing partners and vendors against contracts and Bill of Quantities.
