Project Director

About the role

Huawei Mozambique is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large‑scale telecommunications projects. The role focuses on achieving financial targets, ensuring high‑quality delivery, and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Drive project financial performance, including revenue, cost rates, billing, and network security metrics.
• Manage delivery resources through workload forecasting, planning, allocation, and dynamic performance management.
• Oversee program, contract, and resource management to provide timely, accurate, and cost‑effective services to customers.
• Monitor project operations, escalate issues early, and ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Lead end‑to‑end contract activities: clause control, negotiation, handover, fulfillment, change management, and billing.
• Coordinate integration planning, monitor contract fulfilment, and mitigate related risks.
• Organise DR assessments, approve documentation, and manage bidding project categorisation.
• Build high‑performance delivery teams and improve capabilities of under‑performing staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project experience in the telecommunications sector.
• Proven project management background with relevant accreditation.
• Higher education diploma or degree.
• Strong communication, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
