Project Leader – SRHR Programs

About the role

Ipas Mozambique is seeking an experienced Project Leader to drive the successful delivery of its sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) initiatives across multiple provinces. The role involves overseeing project scope, budget, and timeline while ensuring high‑quality results and compliance with donor and organizational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed work plans, quality assurance processes, and monitoring frameworks.
• Track financial performance, review budgets regularly, and ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
• Prepare and approve donor progress and financial reports, guaranteeing technical accuracy.
• Lead internal and external project review meetings, using data to identify issues and improve performance.
• Supervise a multi‑disciplinary, matrixed implementation team across provinces, clarifying roles and ensuring strong performance.
• Collaborate with technical experts to maintain clinical and program quality standards.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and promote a learning culture through data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex development projects, preferably in the health sector.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, financial monitoring, and results reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving and risk‑management capabilities.
