Regional Manager – Multi‑Site Retail (Mozambique)

About the role

Construa is looking for a driven Regional Manager to oversee multiple building‑materials stores across Mozambique. The role combines operational control, financial stewardship and people leadership to ensure profitability and excellent customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales, manage budgets and control costs to achieve financial targets for all stores in the region.
• Reduce stock losses, shrinkage and ageing inventory while monitoring competitor pricing.
• Lead, coach and develop store managers and their teams, ensuring clear accountability and performance management.
• Conduct regular store visits, enforce company policies and maintain high standards of store presentation.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, stock replenishment and daily cash handling, banking and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Mozambican regulations, including health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Implement security controls to prevent theft, fraud and stock losses, working with local security structures as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Business, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience managing multiple retail sites or a regional operation.
• Strong financial and operational management capabilities.
• Experience in the hardware or building‑materials sector is advantageous.

Required skills

• ERP experience – preferably Kerridge K8 or a similar system.
