Sales Representative – Southern Africa

About the role

The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across Southern Africa by executing the commercial strategy, maximizing customer performance, and strengthening market presence. The role involves leading demand generation, customer engagement, and product propositioning to connect regional manufacturing capabilities with customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Actively engage and sell SG products and solutions to achieve sales revenue targets.
• Build sustainable relationships with retailers, specialist distributors, contractors, architects, tilers, and developers to secure both retail and project opportunities.
• Identify and engage project stakeholders to ensure SG solutions are specified.
• Articulate the value proposition, offering technical expertise and advice to customers.
• Proactively uncover new opportunities and enhance product mix in line with company strategy.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to meet regional KPIs.
• Manage debt collections, ensure compliance with trade terms, and update Salesforce with visits, projects, and market data.
• Support product launches, train customers on new offerings, and coordinate with sales administration for timely query resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in construction/building disciplines and/or Marketing/Sales.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a sales representative, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
• Strong command of English and Portuguese.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to present convincing solution arguments.
