Senior HR Officer

About the role

The Senior HR Officer supports the HR Manager in designing and implementing remuneration strategies, reward and benefit programs, and ensures compliance with disciplinary and social security regulations. This role acts as a key partner to line managers, providing clear guidance on HR policies and driving employee engagement initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the company’s Disciplinary Code, managing disciplinary hearings and proceedings.
• Assist in the design and rollout of remuneration, reward, and benefits strategies, explaining policies to employees and managers.
• Review salary calculations from attendance data, approve payroll, and provide monthly HR cost inputs to Finance.
• Manage employee movements, including onboarding, separations, retirements, and exits, ensuring data integrity in the HR system.
• Oversee change management processes and support successful implementation of HR projects.
• Coordinate employee engagement, motivation, and empowerment initiatives across the business unit.
• Maintain compliance with national social security declarations and HR legislation.
• Provide HR policy education to internal customers and recommend corrective actions for inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, Law, or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of generalist HR experience, with a strong grasp of talent management and organisational design.
• Proficient understanding of change management and the HR value chain.
• Advanced knowledge of HR information management and relevant legislation.
• Solid business acumen and ability to communicate HR services effectively.
