Senior Legal Advisor

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to support its operations in Mozambique. Reporting to the Senior Manager Legal, you will provide high‑quality legal services that enable the business to operate efficiently and in compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal counselling on a wide range of issues, including petroleum operations under Sasol licences.
• Support all departments, notably Supply Chain and Safety, Health & Environment, with strategic legal advice.
• Lead matters related to Exchange Control and Project Funding.
• Ensure the company complies with all applicable Mozambican legislation.
• Conduct legal research and issue written legal opinions.
• Prepare and review contracts in both English and Portuguese as required.

Required profile

• University Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant legal experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, manage complexity, and drive results.
• Strong decision‑making, compliance management, and information privacy awareness.
