Senior Purchaser (LOG)

About the role

CONTACT is recruiting a Senior Purchaser (LOG) to be based in Maputo, Mozambique. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role is responsible for managing the source‑to‑contract process for goods, services and technical assistance services (TAS) while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and manage the award and contract committee processes.
• Issue contracts and purchase orders, coordinating with technical teams to incorporate specifications.
• Handle purchase requisitions, propose bidder lists, and negotiate with suppliers to secure timely delivery.
• Maintain the supplier database and ensure all procurement data are entered in SAP/Unisol.
• Ensure compliance with internal rules, legal requirements, and audit standards throughout the procurement cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent certification.
• 6‑7 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in technical contracts.
• Advanced certification in C&P tools and proven knowledge of SAP and stock management.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) and ability to work under pressure.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with intermediate negotiation skills.
