Senior Purchaser – Logistics (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Senior Purchaser will lead the source‑to‑contract process for goods, services and technical assistance solutions (TAS) within a multinational oil & gas company. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role ensures compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations and industry best practices while protecting the company's interests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation, evaluate proposals and manage the award process in line with company procedures.
• Issue contracts and purchase orders, coordinating with technical teams to embed specifications.
• Maintain supplier relationships, negotiate terms, monitor deliveries and resolve contract amendments.
• Administer procurement data in SAP/Unisol, update supplier databases and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Conduct regular interface meetings with recruitment agencies and manage the TAS portfolio.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification with 6‑7 years of purchasing experience, including at least 2 years in technical contracts.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, legal and insurance aspects affecting procurement.
• Excellent communication in English, ability to work under pressure and in multicultural, cross‑functional teams.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with solid negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with SAP for procurement and stock management.
• Certification in C&P tools (advanced level).
• Experience using Unisol or similar procurement systems.
