Project HR Officer (Mozambique)

About the role

The Alistair Group is seeking a Project HR Officer to manage all day‑to‑day human resources activities for its Mozambique project. You will ensure HR documentation is accurate, support recruitment, and maintain compliance with local regulations while contributing to the company’s mission of making Africa work better.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations for the project, including contract administration and file management.
• Recruit, orient, and retain a satisfied workforce, assigning mentors and buddies to new staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure review schedules are met.
• Liaise with head office to implement new HR procedures and with government bodies as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee training records and handle disciplinary documentation.
• Ensure all staff have valid medical clearances before deployment.
• Monitor PPE stock levels and promote a safe, compliant work environment.

Required profile

• Preferable degree in a relevant field.
• Self‑motivated multi‑tasker with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Experience managing similar HR projects.
• Ability to work closely with project, finance, operations, and safety leads.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
