Country Manager – Mozambique

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead and grow its Molecular Diagnostics business across Mozambique and the broader South East Africa region. The role carries full commercial, operational and people‑leadership responsibility, focusing on public and private sector growth, sustainability and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a country‑specific strategy to profitably grow Molecular Diagnostics in public and private sectors.
• Lead commercial operations across Mozambique, Malawi, Angola and Zambia, aligning with regional and global priorities.
• Hold full P&L responsibility, including revenue forecasting, performance tracking and target delivery.
• Lead a team of Sales Executives and Ambassadors, overseeing contract negotiations, budget control and salesforce system adoption.
• Build and maintain relationships with Ministry of Health officials, government bodies, funders and key opinion leaders.
• Develop and manage distributor partnerships and handle customer escalations end‑to‑end.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of senior commercial or country leadership experience, with at least 3–4 years of people‑management.
• Strong background in healthcare, preferably IVD, diagnostics or molecular markets.
• Deep understanding of public healthcare systems, funding mechanisms and laboratory ecosystems in Mozambique.
• Proven track record in sales strategy development, execution and revenue growth.
• University degree in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
