Field Coordinator – Pemba, Mozambique

About the role

The Field Coordinator will lead Solidarités International’s presence and response in the Pemba area, overseeing program delivery, security, and coordination with partners and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a programs team of around 15 staff and coordinate with department heads.
• Ensure the security of staff, assets and compliance with SI’s ethical framework.
• Represent SI to aid workers, local authorities, military, civil society and media.
• Structure the new base, develop RACI matrices and launch the DG INTPA‑funded project.
• Implement the 2027‑2029 country strategy at area level.

Required profile

• Bachelor‑level diploma in a relevant field.
• 3‑4 years experience in the humanitarian sector, including 3‑4 years in a similar coordination role.
• Fluent English (mandatory); Portuguese highly desirable; Spanish a plus if Portuguese is not available.

Required skills

• Security and access management.
• External representation and coordination with NGOs, authorities and community leaders.
• Financial and HR management, translating constraints into actionable work plans.

What we offer

• Gross salary starting at EUR 3080 per month (base 2800 + 10 % leave allowance) plus a USD 750 monthly per‑diem.
• Accommodation costs and travel expenses between home country and assignment covered.
• Break system: 7 working days off every three months with a USD 850 allowance, plus one additional rest day per month.
