Supervisor Well Services & Integrity

About the role

The Supervisor Well Services & Integrity leads day‑to‑day well services and integrity activities for Sasol’s operations in Temane, Mozambique. Reporting to the Manager Well Services and Integrity, the role ensures safe execution of well interventions, maintains well integrity throughout the production lifecycle, and coordinates with internal teams and third‑party service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Well Services artisan crew, including recruitment, safety compliance, and provision of tools, PPE and equipment.
• Plan and support well interventions such as slickline, annulus top‑up, well testing, electric line operations, and rig‑less plug and abandonment activities.
• Coordinate bi‑annual function testing and annual well integrity testing of well architecture.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning well equipment, including TR‑SCSSVs, SSVs, chokes, gate valves and instrumentation.
• Operate wellhead and production tree equipment and act as focal point for third‑party service providers.
• Manage MOEMS team activities, including repair, redress and recertification of gate and choke valves and stock control.
• Support emergency response exercises and respond to well alarms.
• Conduct regular visual inspections of well sites and maintain annulus management parameters (MAASP, MAWOP, NOL, fluid compositions).
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and measuring devices, ensuring calibration and procurement as needed.
• Oversee vehicle safety, inspections and cleanliness, and facilitate shift handovers and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising well services crews in an oil & gas environment.
• Strong understanding of well integrity principles and GSO Barrier Philosophy.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and third‑party contractors.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Slickline and annulus top‑up operations.
• Well testing and electric line procedures.
• Operation of wellhead and production tree equipment.
• Maintenance of TR‑SCSSVs, SSVs, chokes, gate valves and well instrumentation.
• Annulus management (MAASP, MAWOP, NOL) and fluid composition control.
• Inventory management of tools, PPE, measuring devices and vehicles.
• Calibration of gas detectors, pressure gauges and related instruments.
