Agriculture, Food & Life Coordinator – Maputo

About the role

The Agriculture, Food and Life (AFL) Coordinator will be based in Maputo and will support the AFL Business Manager in delivering inspection, testing and certification services across Mozambique.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and financial activities for AFL customers, partners and staff.
• Promote SGS brand and integrity in the market and assist in developing competitive positioning strategies.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Identify customer challenges and recommend solutions; organize training for the department team.

Required profile

• Degree in Agronomic Engineering, Business Management, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or business management experience at national level.
• Goal‑oriented with solid financial management knowledge.
• Excellent public relations, negotiation and bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17025 standards.
• Practical knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience with CRM systems (advantage).
