Emergency Response Coordinator (A & B)

About the role

The Emergency Response Coordinator (A & B) will lead safety and emergency preparedness activities for projects in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. You will ensure compliance with company policies, local legislation, and international best practices while supporting contractors and aviation operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Emergency Response Coordinator during incidents, exercises and drills.
• Develop, implement and maintain emergency response (ER) systems, documentation and training material.
• Monitor the effectiveness of ER plans, conduct audits, inspections and post‑incident reviews.
• Oversee firefighting teams, manage duty rosters and ensure operational readiness of all ER equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors to verify compliance with ER standards and maintain records of trainings and competencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in emergency response or safety management.
• Level 5 short‑cycle tertiary education.
• Proven ability to manage emergency situations autonomously in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong communication skills in English; Portuguese or French is advantageous.
• Certification as an Emergency Response Coordinator (ICS 200 or GOC 3).
