Finance Director (Mozambique)

About the role

The Group Finance Manager for Mozambique will lead accounting, financial reporting and policy implementation across the J&J Group entities in Mozambique. Reporting to the Group Deputy CFO, the role ensures data quality, timely reporting and effective cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting function for JJB, BLT, IBL, MVA & STB, ensuring completeness, accuracy and proper cut‑off.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting for all entities.
• Supervise inter‑company reconciliations and ensure balance with other Group companies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and oversee income‑tax provisions.
• Support the Sales & Billing Manager with invoicing process improvements and health‑and‑safety compliance.

Required profile

• BCom in Commerce or Finance (post‑graduate degree desirable).
• Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus.
• 10‑12 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably at a management level.
• Fluency in Portuguese is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and IAS.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAGE, FMS and EPMS.
