Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor to support the management and smooth daily operation of its F&B outlets. The role supervises Team Members directly, ensuring high standards of guest service, food safety, hygiene, presentation and operational efficiency in line with Anantara brand standards, and acts as a key link between F&B management and the operational team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of assigned outlets, ensure smooth service per shift, monitor table settings and cleanliness, and coordinate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office and Housekeeping
• Allocate daily duties, run shift briefings, monitor attendance and performance, and coach and train Team Members
• Handle guest feedback, monitor VIP and special occasion requirements, and escalate issues when needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and health procedures, and report health, safety or maintenance concerns
• Monitor use of equipment and supplies, assist with stock counts, minimise wastage and report shortages or breakages
• Maintain operational checklists and reports, support roster planning and implement departmental policies

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Management or a related field preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in F&B operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience required
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and to meet grooming and uniform standards

Required skills

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Good English; Portuguese is an advantage
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
