Head of Information Technology

About the role

A multi-site manufacturing and industrial company is looking for an experienced, results-driven Head of IT to lead IT operations, enterprise systems, cybersecurity and digital transformation. The role works closely with executive leadership so that technology supports manufacturing continuity, operational efficiency, financial controls and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead governance, optimization and continuous improvement of ERP and business applications across Finance, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Sales and HR, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, data migration and testing.
• Manage IT infrastructure, networks, cloud environments and connectivity across sites; set cybersecurity policies, endpoint protection and identity and access management.
• Lead disaster recovery, backup management, business continuity planning and restoration testing.
• Develop a technology roadmap, identify automation and digitalization opportunities, evaluate AI-enabled solutions and improve productivity and decision-making.
• Support production, maintenance and quality control systems and secure IT/OT integration.
• Lead and develop IT teams across locations, manage vendors and contracts, control IT budgets, and define service levels and incident procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive IT and systems management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience leading ERP implementations and upgrades, and delivering digital transformation or process automation.
• Experience managing multi-site IT operations, budgets and vendors.
• Strong background in manufacturing, industrial operations or FMCG is highly preferred.
• English and Portuguese proficiency is an advantage.

• ERP: SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, PHC or comparable systems.
• Infrastructure: LAN/WAN, virtualization, servers, Azure/AWS, telecommunications.
• Cybersecurity: firewalls, endpoint security, identity and access controls, disaster recovery.
• Data and analytics: SQL, business intelligence, data governance, reporting.
• Automation: APIs, workflow automation, RPA, low-code/no-code platforms.
• Preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, CISM, ITIL or ERP certifications; IT/OT integration experience.
