HR Manager – Africa

About the role

The HR Manager for Africa will act as a strategic business partner to line managers and regional directorates, ensuring consistent and compliant HR processes across manufacturing sites. Based in the region, the role supports personnel administration, recruitment, performance management, training, labor relations and employee engagement while aligning with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers and regional directors to translate local business needs into HR actions.
• Oversee personnel administration including hires, contract changes, attendance, vacations, absences and variable pay for payroll processing.
• Coordinate and supervise the regional HR Technician, managing task distribution, deadlines and quality.
• Manage relationships with temporary work agencies, validating worker attendance and overtime.
• Drive performance management cycles, including objectives, check‑ins and evaluations.
• Support disciplinary processes, worker‑representative relations and ensure compliance with labor legislation and collective agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of HR experience in manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Sociology or related field.
• Training in people management, labor legislation, labor relations and business partnering.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Data analysis and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with AI‑enhanced HR processes.
