Visa & Work Permit Coordinator

About the role

Heading Moçambique is looking for a Visa & Work Permit Coordinator to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. The role provides immigration advice and administrative support for foreign nationals both locally and globally, ensuring smooth visa and work‑permit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immigration advice and administrative support for work permits, DIRE, work and business visas, mobilization, on‑site support and repatriation.
• Assist employees and their dependents with arrival processes, coordinating with the Director of Immigration and airports in Maputo and Pemba.
• Accompany employees and dependents to the Directorate of Immigration for visa applications.
• Liaise with government entities such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Justice to legalise documentation.
• Maintain accurate databases, track documents and ensure compliance with HSE trainings.
• Prepare visas for Mozambican employees traveling overseas and accompany them to consulate appointments.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma; degree in law, international relations or similar preferred.
• 3+ years experience as an immigration consultant or working with immigrants.
• Strong research, fact‑checking and writing abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple visa and work‑permit cases in a high‑activity environment.
