International Peacebuilding Programme Consultant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a consultant to support the implementation of its Peacebuilding Programme in Mozambique. The role involves coordinating activities that build resilience to violent extremism and stabilize communities across multiple provinces.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the National Programme Manager and Head of Peace and Development Coordination in designing, planning, monitoring and evaluating peacebuilding activities.
• Maintain and regularly update portfolio‑level and project‑level workplans in collaboration with the programme team.
• Liaise with government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, CSOs, local communities and donors.
• Participate in coordination and inter‑agency fora as required.
• Lead reporting processes, including weekly, quarterly and annual reports, and ensure documentation is entered into internal systems.
• Support resource mobilisation by contributing to proposal development and data entry.
• Assist in producing communication and visibility materials.
• Implement monitoring and evaluation tools to support adaptive management and internal learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in peacebuilding, conflict‑resolution or related humanitarian programmes.
• Strong coordination and networking abilities with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting for development projects.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results in a multi‑province context.
