Large Scale Private Sector & Investment Development Manager (Mozambique)

About the role

TechnoServe is seeking an experienced private‑sector development professional to lead enterprise growth and investment‑readiness activities under the Green Value for Growth (GV4G) programme in Mozambique. The manager will guide a team delivering business advisory and technical assistance to agribusinesses of all sizes, helping them become more competitive, investment‑ready and inclusive.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate business advisory and technical assistance services for small, medium and large agribusinesses.
• Strengthen operations, improve investment readiness and facilitate access to finance for client firms.
• Promote inclusive business models that generate economic opportunities for smallholder farmers, women and youth.
• Drive business growth and attract private‑sector investment across the soy, cashew and coffee value chains.
• Integrate climate‑smart practices, digital tools and landscape restoration into enterprise development.
• Collaborate with consortium partners and the EU‑delegated implementing partner to meet programme targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in private‑sector development, preferably within agribusiness value chains.
• Strong commercial acumen and demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep knowledge of investment‑readiness processes and financing mechanisms for SMEs.
• Familiarity with climate‑resilient agriculture, EU market requirements and inclusive business models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
