Leadership, Learning & Talent Officer

About the role

The Leadership, Learning & Talent Officer will support the Head of Leadership, Learning & Talent in driving talent management, succession planning, leadership development and workforce capability initiatives across Absa Mozambique. This role combines specialist expertise with operational leadership to ensure effective execution of HR strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Mozambique Talent Management and Succession Planning framework and coordinate talent review processes.
• Maintain oversight of succession pipelines for critical and leadership roles, monitoring talent risks and readiness.
• Design, execute and evaluate leadership development programmes, academies and talent initiatives.
• Partner with Human Capital partners and business leaders to identify capability requirements and coordinate development interventions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to managers on talent, succession, development and career matters.
• Analyse talent, succession, learning and workforce data, preparing reports, dashboards and presentations for governance forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in talent management, succession planning and leadership development.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret talent data and produce actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and advisory skills.
• Ability to oversee governance processes and ensure compliance with HR frameworks.
