LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent

About the role

The LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent will lead the construction phase of the Mozambique LNG project, ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery of tank systems up to handover to commissioning. This senior position requires strong HSE leadership and close coordination with the EPC contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and enforce HSE commitment across client and EPC teams.
• Coordinate and monitor all construction activities in the assigned area, from execution to system handover.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Facilitate execution plans, method statements, and procedures aligned with project strategy.
• Review construction progress, report deviations, and propose mitigation actions.
• Support site management, risk analysis, and technical problem solving.
• Oversee pre‑commissioning activities and transition to commissioning, including SIMOPS.
• Lead construction planning meetings and ensure effective communication of issues and resolutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in field construction supervision on large‑scale oil & gas or LNG projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage safety performance.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Construction management and EPC coordination.
• Execution planning, method‑statement development, and risk assessment.
• Pre‑commissioning and commissioning oversight.
