Logistic Specialist

About the role

ISS International is seeking a Logistic Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end movement of equipment and materials in Pemba, Mozambique. The role ensures timely customs clearance, transport coordination and delivery while maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up import, export, transit, dispatch and transport customs documentation.
• Streamline customs clearance and shipping processes to minimise delays.
• Manage and coordinate shippers and dispatchers.
• Co‑operate with transport insurance providers and oversee insurance contracts.
• Maintain the Project Information System with up‑to‑date materials handling data.
• Plan transport activities together with the Expediting & Inspection Officer.
• Monitor supplier and service provider performance to ensure contractual compliance.
• Utilise a dedicated computerized program for logistics activities.

Required profile

• Experience in import/export and customs documentation.
• Proven ability to coordinate transport and shipping operations.
• Familiarity with insurance contract management for logistics.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with specialised logistics software.
