Logistics Officer (SC8) – Nacala Hub

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Logistics Officer (SC8) to support the Nacala Hub in Mozambique. Reporting to the Pemba Area Office Logistics Officer, the incumbent will help maximise the efficiency of logistics operations and contribute to the delivery of humanitarian assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day logistics activities at the Nacala Hub.
• Collect, analyse and report logistics data to improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of logistics plans and processes, ensuring compliance with WFP policies and standards.
• Support logistics projects and routine operational tasks following established procedures.
• Collaborate closely with senior logistics staff and provide regular updates on performance.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably in a humanitarian context.
• Ability to gather and analyse logistical information and produce clear reports.
• Familiarity with logistics policies, standards and best practices.
• Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to receive guidance from senior staff.
