Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort ensures accurate financial reporting and smooth front‑office operations during the overnight shift. This position blends guest service with accounting duties to close each business day and prepare essential reports for management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the nightly audit of all hotel transactions, reconciling room, food & beverage, and other departmental revenues.
• Balance cash, credit‑card, and other payment methods, investigating any discrepancies.
• Close the business day in the property management system and roll it over to the next day.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports to management.
• Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and complete required logs.
• Communicate unresolved issues to the morning shift team.
• Monitor hotel security, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.
• Good communication skills for handover to the day team.
• Commitment to uphold hotel policies, procedures, and internal controls.
