Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort ensures accurate financial reporting and smooth front‑office operations during the overnight shift. This position blends guest service with accounting duties to close each business day and prepare essential reports for management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the nightly audit of all hotel transactions, including room, food & beverage, and other departmental revenues.
• Verify and reconcile cash, credit‑card, and other payment methods.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate irregularities, and report findings.
• Close the business day and roll over the property management system to the next day.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports to management.
• Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and complete required logs.
• Monitor hotel security, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.
• Excellent communication skills to relay information to the morning shift.
• Commitment to uphold company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
