Partnerships Officer (CST II)

About the role

The Partnerships Officer (CST II) will support WFP Mozambique in shaping and implementing its new Country Strategic Plan (2027‑2030). The role focuses on expanding and diversifying partnerships with government, international financial institutions and knowledge actors to secure funding and enhance programme impact.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage strategic partnerships that align with WFP’s corporate priorities.
• Coordinate with the Government of Mozambique and International Financial Institutions to diversify funding sources.
• Support the preparation of the Country Strategic Plan and ensure alignment with donor expectations.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration with research and policy institutions.
• Monitor partnership performance and report on outcomes to senior management.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in international relations, development studies, economics or a related field.
• Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with UN agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior government officials and multilateral donors.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Portuguese is an asset.
