Product Control Group Officer

About the role

The Product Control Group Officer will support Global Markets and Treasury by independently validating, substantiating and reporting financial information. The role provides analytical insight into trading activity and ensures accurate representation of the portfolio in the general ledger.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily, monthly and YTD P&L for assigned desks and ensure accurate GL representation.
• Validate fair valuation of products and perform balance‑sheet substantiation, investigating and resolving breaks.
• Provide commercial analysis of foreign‑exchange trading and monitor compliance with trading limits and policies.
• Prepare regular management information for senior leadership and ensure clean audit results.
• Perform month‑end processes such as bid‑offer and price testing, and reconcile front‑ and back‑office positions.
• Respond to ad‑hoc queries from traders and infrastructure partners regarding revenue and balance‑sheet items.
• Submit regulatory returns to authorities (e.g., CBM) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance control and efficiency.

Required profile

• Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Financial Sciences (required).
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in P&L and balance‑sheet reporting.
• Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and work under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for banking institutions.
