Provider Agent – Frontline Healthcare Support

About the role

The Provider Agent supports Mediplus healthcare providers on the front line, ensuring they have the tools, training, and assistance needed to deliver high‑quality care to members. This field‑based role involves regular visits, device oversight, claims assistance, and network expansion activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular on‑site visits to Mediplus‑accredited providers and maintain professional communication.
• Train providers on Mediplus devices, digital claims systems, and accurate invoice submission.
• Troubleshoot and maintain device functionality, ensuring optimal performance.
• Monitor provider performance, address concerns promptly, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Assist providers with rejected or delayed claims and verify invoice completeness.
• Identify and assess potential new providers, support onboarding, and provide system setup training.
• Submit weekly activity reports, attend internal coordination meetings, and keep accurate records of visits and training sessions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in provider relations, health services, or operational support.
• Diploma or degree in Health Administration, IT, Business, or a related field.
• Knowledge of health insurance or medical aid systems is an advantage.
• Fieldwork experience with healthcare providers is strongly preferred.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IFERROR, pivot tables, filters, conditional formatting).
• Data accuracy and validation tools for checking integrity and identifying duplicates.
• Reconciliation techniques for matching entries and detecting discrepancies.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Device troubleshooting and technical aptitude.
