Provincial Coordinator – ECHO Mozambique

About the role

The Provincial Coordinator will lead the Efficiencies for Clinical HIV Outcomes (ECHO) project at the provincial level in Mozambique. Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party for Health Systems Strengthening, you will guide strategic, technical, and operational activities to support the Government of the Republic of Mozambique in achieving sustainable, country‑led HIV/AIDS epidemic control.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership to provincial health facilities and community partners.
• Promote data‑informed decision‑making and strengthen routine data use for program improvement.
• Design and implement quality‑improvement strategies aligned with national policies.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives for government counterparts, including planning, supervision, and performance management.
• Mentor multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient‑centered service delivery.
• Coordinate closely with the Ministry of Health, district authorities, and local partners through joint planning and performance review mechanisms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health systems strengthening or HIV program management.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector health structures in Mozambique.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with government officials and international partners.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
