Regional Finance Manager – Beira, Mozambique

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Regional Finance Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial operations for our client in Beira, Mozambique. The role demands strong ownership, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Oversee bank account management, reconciliations, cash flow, and payment structures.
• Lead payroll, tax compliance, HR and statutory reporting.
• Conduct stock counts, inventory controls and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Prepare annual financial statements, fixed‑asset register and support external audits.
• Train and mentor finance staff on accounting standards and systems.

Required profile

• BCom/BTech or equivalent degree in accounting or finance; postgraduate or honours desirable.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar finance manager role, preferably in a high‑growth, multi‑currency environment.
• Strong understanding of exchange rates, forex and Sub‑Saharan African markets.
• Excellent communication, leadership and people‑management skills.
