Securities Perfection Officer

About the role

The Securities Perfection Officer supports the bank by analysing, validating and maintaining accurate data on collateral held against lending facilities. The role ensures legal compliance of loan documentation, provides insights on collateral, and works with IT to improve systems for effective collateral data management.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate and analyse data on all collateral held by the bank and maintain collateral registers.
• Produce quantitative and qualitative reports to support decision‑making and identify data gaps or risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements, support testing and implementation of collateral management solutions.
• Review loan documentation for completeness, legal compliance and enforceability of securities such as mortgage bonds and guarantees.
• Validate that collateral is properly recorded, valued and linked to facilities, and assess adequacy of secured versus unsecured exposures.
• Maintain relationships with Government Registrars and provide continuous support for the maintenance, safe custody and cancellation of securities.
• Conduct pre‑disbursement analysis and issue technical opinions for managerial review.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to assess security documents and collateral data.
• Experience reviewing loan documentation for legal compliance and enforceability.
• Capability to work with government registrars and external parties.
• Effective collaboration with IT and other key stakeholders to improve systems and processes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safeguarding the bank’s interests through proper collateral structuring.
