Senior Marketing and Business Development Officer

About the role

The Senior Marketing and Business Development Officer will work full‑time on‑site in Maputo, driving growth across logistics, mineral resources, energy, infrastructure and industrial solutions. The role blends strategic marketing planning with proactive business development to expand the company’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated marketing and business development strategies for multiple sectors.
• Identify new business opportunities and manage the sales pipeline.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and pitch materials for prospective clients.
• Support and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align campaigns with business objectives.
• Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Monitor performance metrics and optimise customer engagement initiatives.
• Maintain consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.

Required profile

• Strong new‑business development skills, including opportunity identification and partnership building.
• Advanced analytical abilities for market research and financial evaluation.
• Solid understanding of finance principles such as budgeting, pricing and forecasting.
• Excellent communication skills for proposals, reports and stakeholder collaboration.
• Customer‑service orientation with a focus on long‑term relationship management.
• Proven experience in marketing and business development, preferably in logistics, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese or other regional languages are advantageous.
