Senior Purchaser (LOG)

About the role

CONTACT is recruiting a Senior Purchaser (LOG) to be based in Maputo, Mozambique. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role covers the full source-to-contract process for goods, services and TAS, including tender preparation, contract administration and supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation and tender evaluation procedures, and issue contracts and service/purchase orders after liaising with technical teams
• Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, administer the recommendation to award report and prepare contract documents
• Manage contracts in line with their terms, close out the pre-contract phase and keep supplier databases and purchasing data updated in SAP / Unisol
• Process purchase requisitions, propose bidder lists, negotiate with suppliers and ensure on-time delivery
• Handle contract amendments, file documents properly and ensure procurement processes meet audit requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent certification
• 6 to 7 years of professional experience, minimum 2 years in technical contracts, with exposure to operations
• Mozambican nationality; living in the local area is an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English
